Electrical Safety

The gold standard for measuring ground resistance using classic fall of potential as well as selective and stakeless methods.

The Geo X Earth Ground Tester is ideal for measurement of ground resistance using the classic fall of potential test, as well as the 'selective' and 'stakeless' test. The 'selective' method does not require the electrode under test to be disconnected before measurement, unlike other methods. The 'stakeless' method is quick and simple and replaces stakes with current transformers (probes) that are clamped around the ground conductor under test. Both techniques make it faster and safer to test.

Earth ground resistance and resistivity should be measured when:

	Installing new ground system and electrical equipment.
	Periodically testing ground and lightning protection rods.
	Prior to design of ground protection systems.
	Installing distribution equipment-transformers, switchgear etc.
	Conventional three and four pole earth ground testing.
